Here, the pace of life is slower. The country air is crisp and nature is your neighborhood. As one resident explained rather simply, “the pressures of life just melt away as you take that turn into Long Branch.” The story of Long Branch is as engaging as its creator, Chris Moore, a local outdoor enthusiast turned wilderness medicine physician whose passion for land conservation crossed paths one day with an opportunity. The perfect caretaker of this 400 acre, almost hidden, community in the mountains of North Georgia, Moore personally carved out over 8 miles of trails and delineated each of the 20 home sites carefully taking advantage of the natural topography. Long before “agrihoods” or “naturehoods” were named, Long Branch existed and was, by design, a community focused on health, wellness, serenity and conservation.
